I created this painting from a photo I took in Central Park of a girl feeding the ducks at the Conservatory Pond. It is a man-made pond for sailing (and renting) model boats, with fairy-tale statues and summer readings nearby. This peaceful moment happened on one of the first outings to Central Park during the pandemic. Finally, being outside my home led to joy, and this painting celebrates that well.
Original Painting: Oil on canvas, 20" x 20", 2022
Celebrate the joy of being outside with this peaceful oil painting of a young girl feeding ducks in Central Park during the pandemic.
Nestled among the fairy-tale statues and summer readings of the Conservatory Pond, a young girl finds solace in feeding the ducks. The pond's tranquil waters reflect the beauty of the surrounding trees and the joy on the girl's face.
This painting is a reminder that even in the midst of difficult times, there is still beauty and joy to be found in the simple things in life.
