Santorini is a volcanic island in the Cyclades group of the Greek islands. It is located between Los and Anafi islands and is famous for dramatic views, stunning sunsets from Oia town and the town of Thira and naturally its very own active volcano. I remember the day vividly that I saw donkeys carrying men up the charming cliff.

I am not in favor of using donkeys or mules as taxis as I feel their work conditions are still unacceptable. This painting  honors them and shows them working hard work.

This is a new 2023 version of this scene. I have sold the original painting created in 2015.

This original painting will be carefully shipped in a box. It is signed on the front and back and accompanied with a certificate of authenticity. The canvas sides are painted a neutral tone to match the painting.
